Allison Transmission Extends Intranet Support Contract
September 5, 2008 (Indianapolis, IN): Allison Transmission Inc. (ATI) of Indianapolis, Ind., has renewed its support contract with Econ Global Services to continue work on the company's Intranet Website.
ATI is the world leader in the design, manufacture and sales of commercial-duty automatic transmissions, hybrid propulsion systems, and related parts and services for on-highway trucks and buses, off-highway equipment and military vehicles. ATI is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, and has five international regional offices: Sliedrecht, The Netherlands; Tokyo, Japan; Beijing, China; Singapore; and Sao Paulo, Brazil. ATI also has a presence in more than 80 countries, which includes over 1,500 distributors and dealers.
Econ Global Services first began work with ATI in July 2007 to modify, move and deploy the portal from the Powertrain division of General Motors (GM) to ATI's own Intranet site following Allison's sale by GM. Econ Global Services service contract for the portal also includes data and content migration, new content generation, training, service desk and on-going application support services on a managed services basis.
Based on Econ Global Services strong value added performance, ATI has renewed the contract and is looking forward to Econ Global Services for the right Portal, Document Management and Security Management strategies.
